I would like to wish a safe trip and a wonderful time to some of the Khmer Krom members who will be travelling to Mobile, Alabama to attend their Phka Sammki. I visited them at our temple before they departed at about 8am and we are all proud of eachother of our merits! I hope that we can only continue to do better and contribute more for the common good of the Khmer Krom community in Atlanta. Mr. Son Ngoc Tri, Mr. Lam En, Mr. Tang Khinh, Mr. Cao Rinh, and our president and vice-president Trinh Tran and Saroum Tang respectively raised about $700 for the Khmer Krom temple in Alabama. 7:30pm	Arrival of guest
8:30pm	Paying respect to the Triple Gem, taking the Five Precepts; Monks Chanting
9:30pm	Traditional Soup Rice Service for everyone provided by Mr. Khen

Sunday, November 08, 2009
9:00am	Greetings to all of our guests
9:30am	Paying respects to the Triple-Gem and taking the Five Precepts
10:30am	Putting alms in to alms-bowls, food offering to Buddhist Monks
11:00am	Monk’s blessing / Lunch of Monks
12:00am (noon time)	Communal Lunch

For the special events, we will have four Khmer-Krom Buddhist monks from: Mobile, Alabama; San Jose, California; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Jackson, Florida that will celebrate and help us with the ceremony.

Please come support us in order to develop this Buddhist Organization for the sake of progressing Cambodian culture, tradition, Buddhism, and to do the merits for your present and future life!

May all beings be free from greed, hatred, delusion, ignorance, discrimination, and conceit! May this world be filled with love, harmony, unity, compassion, peace and happiness.

We would like to thank all that attended Sedonta this year at Watt Thammarangsey. We hope you had a wonderful time for those who came either Saturday, Sunday, or both days. We would like to thank Monk Vithu Tuon for administering the Sedonta ceremonies and the Khmer Krom committee for all festivities. Special thanks to those who brought food, refreshments, and other materials for a worry-free, smooth ceremony. This year we hope that every Khmer Krom member can help build a stronger foundation for our temple by donating or contributing services to better provide for our Khmer Krom community. Your help would gladly be appreciated in the betterment, prosperity, and the longevity of our temple to fortify the unity of the Khmer Krom. We hope to see you again this year and hope that you’ve enjoyed Sedonta 2009.

I, Dan Truong would like to congratulate Duong Thi Thach embarking upon a new journey of longevity, happiness, and prosperity in her marriage. She recently had her wedding on the 24th and 25th of April. She is like a little daughter to me and I could not be any more happier for her! Wish you all the best Duong!
